Yes, traffic is the single most important aspect of a successful online based business. Each and every article you find about making your online business successful will more than likely include the importance of generating traffic.

But one thing that everyone but the experts ignores is …

Targeted Traffic

Don’t waste your time trying to get everyone to visit your website.

Sit down and figure out who your targeted audience is and make sure that every action you take is focused on them.

In fact, because I have so many online businesses, sometimes I forget who my target audience is, I will put something on my website to remind myself who I am talking to.

For example, for one of my website eBusinessToGo.com, I want to focus on Online Entrepreneurs, so I told my design team to put in “Community for Online Entrepreneurs” as part of the logo to constantly remind myself, who my audience is.

Crude, I know but effective. Crazy as it seems, it actually helps to connect with my audience.

My audience comes to my website, sees that it is a website for online entrepreneurs and subconsciously goes through my website from an entrepreneur’s viewpoint.

Best of all, they are in the right mindset to accept what I am sharing with them.

For those who are just cruising around, if they are not interested, they leave for which I am quite happy. I won’t feel that I have wasted their time nor do they waste my time.
