Nope, it is free as long you are using the Free vLetter Handwriting software. Anything beyond that, yes, you have to pay.

It is very simple to save your signature. Just a couple of tricks to know.

1) Go to http://vletter.com/downloads.htm

2) Enter your name

3) Select the signature look via the Handwring options, e.g., what color you want signature to be, what style you are looking for, the size of your signature ...etc

4) Click on the "Preview" Button

5) The software will generate the signature for you in a form of a graphic.

6) Put your mouse over the graphics, right click on your mouse and you should see a pop up menu.

7) Depending on the type of browser you are using, you should see an option like "Save Picture As" or "Save Image". Select that and save the signature graphic on your computer.

8) You are done. Click here to see the signature I generated it for you.
<a href="http://ebusinessfornewbies.com/blog/images/andrew.gif" rel="nofollow">http://ebusinessfornewbies.com/blog/images/andrew.gif</a>.

It took me less than 10 minutes and that includes reading your message and typing this response.

9) You'll notice that there is a vletter stamp at the bottom of the graphic. Just use your Microsoft Paint software to crop the graphics and you are good to go.

I notice that you can have them send you the image that you generated. But I don't like to give up my email unless it is absolutely necessary. So I rather spend a little more time getting the graphic this way than to give them my email and possible lose some of my privacy.

How do you download the signature to use. I tried to copy and paste it, but I’m don't think it's free. It's only a demo.

I wouldn't worry about that. After all, it is not really your real signature. You are just using the tools available to make it "look" like it is written by a real person.

My real signature looks nothing like the above.

It is only dangerous if I actually sign on a paper, scan it and upload it to the web.

So I are safe here. ;)

Cheers,
Woei Yu
