You have a website and can’t figure out why it’s not showing up at the top of Google’s search rankings. You go to Google.com for some guidance but get lost trying to find answers.

Certainly, achieving visibility in Google’s search rankings can be a mystery.

But there is no reason why you can’t help google get your site found.

Google Sitemaps (www.google.com/webmasters/) is a program that gives you the chance to let Google know about your website.
You can upload a site map, which shows Google the pages of your site (create it at www.xml-sitemaps.com). Once that’s done, you’ll be registered with Google, where you can learn vital statistics.

Query statistics: Information regarding the queries that Google searchers have used to and been returned results about your site.

Crawl statistics: Information regarding successes and failures of crawls of your site as well as PageRank information and also how often Google “crawls” your site for updates

Page analysis: Information about the types of pages on your site such as the type of page and the page encoding.

Index statistics: Information about how your site is indexed. For example, you can get a list of indexed pages for your site, a list of pages that link to your site, and get a look at the Google cache for your site and a lot more.

Take note that this doesn’t necessarily mean that your pages will be listed for your favorite keywords, only that your website will be discovered a lot quicker than if you don’t.

And it has also been shown that a sitemap is usually more useful for relatively established sites. For new sites, the first step to increase traffic and viewership will always be adding fresh quality content.

Yahoo offer similar services as well. But I found that once Google has your website information, Yahoo is usually not that far behind. So making the effort to submit my website to Yahoo seems like wasted effort.

Imagine a Professional Looking Signature that gives your sales letters, emails or any other correspondence a Unique, Special Touch.

I haven’t done the test myself but people I respected in the online marketing industry have experimented using sales letter with regular font vs signature font.

They found an astounding increase in SALES Conversion just because they use signature font instead of regular font.

Let’s face it.

Times or Arial which are the standard fonts for most reading material is great for reading sales letter, emailing your customers …etc.

But to give your website or correspondence the truly personal feel, you need the more realistic signature font.

Unless, you have a graphic designer at hand or have graphics software, it can be a hassle to create your own signature for the web.

That was until I found vLetter, where you can create more than 15 different types of signatures for F-R-E-E.

http://vletter.com/downloads.htm

Check out these signatures I have created in less than 1 minute.

Personally, I think this is a great tool. There is NO REASON why none of us couldn’t take a few minutes of our time to create your own personalized signature.

This is a particular helpful for online business owners because … let’s face it!

Online business has a reputation for being too impersonal. And any successful online business owners will tell you that online businesses thrives especially well for those who have successfully cultivate relationships with their customers.

Having little touches like personalized signature can go a long way in creating that feel that suggest there is a real life person

So, check out http://vletter.com/downloads.htm

Yes, traffic is the single most important aspect of a successful online based business. Each and every article you find about making your online business successful will more than likely include the importance of generating traffic.

But one thing that everyone but the experts ignores is …

Targeted Traffic

Don’t waste your time trying to get everyone to visit your website.

Sit down and figure out who your targeted audience is and make sure that every action you take is focused on them.

In fact, because I have so many online businesses, sometimes I forget who my target audience is, I will put something on my website to remind myself who I am talking to.

For example, for one of my website eBusinessToGo.com, I want to focus on Online Entrepreneurs, so I told my design team to put in “Community for Online Entrepreneurs” as part of the logo to constantly remind myself, who my audience is.

Crude, I know but effective. Crazy as it seems, it actually helps to connect with my audience.

My audience comes to my website, sees that it is a website for online entrepreneurs and subconsciously goes through my website from an entrepreneur’s viewpoint.

Best of all, they are in the right mindset to accept what I am sharing with them.

For those who are just cruising around, if they are not interested, they leave for which I am quite happy. I won’t feel that I have wasted their time nor do they waste my time.

Talk soon,

No kidding really!

Google’s latest offering allows you to create a website that is hosted at Google for free.

Of course, there are the usual “let us make your life easier” Google features like:

Single-click page creation

No HTML required

Customizable look and feel

Cool widgets like latest announcement plug-ins …etc

And of course it’s free !!!

Check out what I created for eBusinessToGo.com in less than 30 minutes at the right.
https://sites.google.com/site/ebusinesstogo/

However, we all know there is always a catch whenever you hear the word free.

In this case, they are not so much as a catch but a limitation.

Sites created at Google Sites can only be simple websites.

Sure there are plug-ins like sitemaps, navigation menu, latest announcements that you can add to your website with a simple click but to do any “fancy” features it is basically impossible, particularly for people who aren’t experts.

A second limitation is you can’t use your own domain name you must use a “sites.google.com” domain name.

Wait!

Before you shove this into the “Great idea but useless to me” project pile and move on to your next task.

I urge you to sit down and think who DOMINATES the search landscape now and apparently for years to come.

Yes, Google – the very same company who has generously given us free websites and hosting.

Word on the street is that any site that is created via Google Site will be given a higher SEO ranking than any other site of SIMILAR nature.

So, for 30 minutes of my time, and I can get higher quality traffic to my website, in this case eBusinessToGo.com, without paying a single dime!

Heck, why not!

There are so many different ways to generate good money on the Web. I’ve tried a number of different approaches and created a wide range of results…

There are things that didn’t work at all for me, and other things that just went through the roof.

Quality Private Label Rights Products

The key is in finding a business model that works for you. We’re all different, and it makes sense to think that each of us has our own set of skills and possible skills which we can use when we build any sort of business or venture.

And of course when you’re just getting started you might not even know what you’re good at yet so it’s really a matter of jumping in there and trying a few different things.

I’d like to share some info with you today about one of my absolute favorite markets; the digital PLR industry.

PLR – or private label rights marketing is nothing new.

In fact for the past 50 years vitamin companies, canned food producers, and many other offline operations have worked with smaller organizations to build some gigantic win-win PLR promotions.

If you’ve ever gone to the grocery store and bought the “store brand” variety of your favorite cereal to save a few bucks then you have supported a good PLR campaign.

Of course your grocery store doesn’t have their own Frosted Flakes factory, so they buy the rights from Kellogs to sell a generic version of this great cereal at a reduced price and under a new logo.

And I promise your grocery store is making a total killing with this strategy! They spend no time or money on production; all they have to do is plug right into an existing, in-demand product, put their name on it, and rake in piles of currency for minimal effort.

How’s that for a super nice business model?

The great news is you can do pretty much the same thing online.

That’s right: You can acquire a variety of great software and/or information products, put your name on them, and sell them over and over again for 100% of the price you set!

This is completely legal, ethical, and let’s face it smart. )

In 2007 I went on vacation to Tybee Island, GA.

I spent a whole week on the beach, having such a blast, and the entire trip was financed by one of my own PLR promotions!

The trick is getting the quality PLR product.

If you want to cash in on the always lucrative PLR industry, I invite you to check out http://www.8-8-8sale.com where you can get excellent quality of Master/PLR rights products. It’s affordably priced and you’ll get resell rights.

Baloney?

Surely you don’t think head of GE thought the refrigerator door looks too plain and thought to jazz it up with the awe-inspiring GE logo and hey isn’t it a coincidence that the logo is perfectly viewable at eye-level?

Outrageous Direct Marketing

And do you know Pentene is created specifically to help remove buildup while leaving hair with shine. Yes, it is true because it says right there while I am taking a shower this morning.

But the point is, with so many advertising messages, people are bored, overwhelmed, and just generally want to be amused. Which brings me to the next message…

Outrageous is not so Outrageous if customer gets the message.

Couple of months back, Jan Drake, an insurance agent from Bethpage, NY sent a direct mail to her customers stuffed in a baby bottle.

It cost her $176 dollars to mail the bottles to 46 leads and it gained a whopping $24,000 of ROI (Return on Investment).

Of course, what she wrote in her direct mail plays a big part in getting the sale. But she wouldn’t have gotten the sale if her customers weren’t intrigued by the baby bottle found in their mail box and actually spend the time reading what she wrote.

I mean, let’s be honest, how many times have we thrown away junk mail without bothering to open it.

And Jan, brilliant woman that she is, thought of an exceptionally great idea to blow away her competition.

And from what I learn, Operation Baby Bottle was just a small piece of her overall marketing campaign. We could all learn from her.

Disclaimer: I have never spoken to Jan but nor gain any financial rewards for mentioning her.

And the good news is less than 2% of your buyers are likely to go through the trouble of asking for a refund, even if they hate what you sold them!

Of this 2%, the sad truth is about half of refunders will ask for money back not out of a lack of satisfaction, but because they couldn’t afford your product in the first place.

But just because a customer asks for a refund, there’s NO reason you can’t make one last effort to retain the sale.

Always respond politely, and ask them if they would prefer to have another product from your line at no cost instead of getting their refund.

In my experience a solid 50% of potential refunds are prevented with this common sense technique; and most of the customers this does not work with are either from the “I hate everybody” crowd, or are that portion of the market who should not be shopping in the first place because they can’t afford to do so.

The Web is not a magic money bag. Well in some ways it sort of is to be honest but not for everybody.

Here’s what I mean:

Business Opportunities in Web Marketing

I love working online. I love building sites, creating products, driving traffic, building lists, seeing payment notifications in my inbox… I love it!

But it’s not for everybody.

I have friends who love gardening. They run landscaping companies that build big stone walls, install huge sweeping gardens on large banks, add waterfalls patio setting, and more.

They love it and they make a killing doing it.

I think gardening is nice… I enjoy the way plants look and smell, and I can even identify a few specimens, but I really don’t want to work with a speade and a saw for any length of time.

But I don’t know a lot about what makes a good garden “work”. In fact I don’t even own any gardening tools.

I would go broke as a pro gardener, because I don’t have the knowledge or the tools to do this sort of work.

So despite the fact that my friends make big money selling gardens I’m not interested in changing careers – I’ll just stick to what I do and make big money doing it.

Despite what infomercials tell us making a living with digital products and Websites is NOT for everybody.

And that’s totally ok.

I often receive emails from people, or see posts on forum boards that read something like this:

“I’m new to this Internet stuff. I don’t really like the Internet, plus I don’t own a computer. How can I start making some money?”

or…

“I have an old computer but I have no idea how to use it and I can’t afford an Internet connection. How can I start making some money?”

I’ll bet you have seen this stuff posted on the forums as well. It’s mind blowing when you think about it.

Why would these people even consider working with the Web in the first place?

The answer, I believe, is the infomercial mentality. We often see these bogus commercial spots about “working from home and making big money” and people still buy into the notion that anybody can now jump online and start making cash.

In 2008 the fantasy of the Internet gold rush revolution is still in full swing. It’s a good thing in a way. I’m glad people are so willing to dream.

But it can also be a bad thing. This is why there are tens of thousands of people in the “Internet marketing” niche who sit at their computer for 8 hours a day and don’t make squat.

I feel badly for those people because there is probably an entrepreneurial venture that would fit them like a glove if they would log off the Web and go find it.

I think it’s very important to be honest with ourselves and seek ventures that we really like, even love. If Web marketing doesn’t fit or feel right, dump it and find something else.

And if you feel the desire to work online deep in your bones but still aren’t making any money seek and attract the knowledge that will set you free and allow you to turn your sweat and tears into some real cash flow.
